Junior sport is a big part of life on the Gold Coast. So, 1029 Hot Tomato’s Mal & Luke with the help of yourcoast.com.au are searching for the Junior Sports Star of the Year. Whether you’re a star in footy or judo, cricket or golf. If you think your kid’s a little champion or you're coaching one simply, fill in the nomination form and gloat about them. We'll draw a finalist each week over 40 weeks, chat with them on our show...and hand over some very cool sporting gear including a Junior Sports Star of the Year sports bag, cap and drink bottle PLUS a family pass to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary! The awards are open to kids aged between 10 and 17 who are based on the Gold Coast. At the end of the 40 week nomination and finalist selection period the 1029 Hot Tomato Junior Sports Star of Year function will occur. At this function we will announce the overall winner of our 1029 Hot Tomato Junior Sports Star of the Year who will receive $2,000 sporting grant. The overall runner up will receive a $1,000 sporting grant.

Sports Star of the Year Terms & Conditions:

Nominations open Monday 8 March and will close on Wednesday 8 December 2010.

The nominee must reside within the boundaries of the City of Gold Coast or Tweed Shire.
The nominee must be aged between 10 and 17 at December 10, 2010.
The nominees sporting achievement must fall between June 2009 and December 2010.
Nominees may be nominated by more than one person but will not be awarded more than one place as a finalist.
