Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Check out the new Powderfinger video for Burn Your Name. It was filmed in Chiang Mai, Thailand, at the Yi Peng festival (or Festival of Lights). It’s a festival where people light a lantern and set it adrift, sending all their troubles away…

GOLD COAST SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVALS

Monday, October 5th, 2009

As we enter the warmer months the anticipation builds about music festivals. Summer is such a great time on the Gold Coast because we are a destination of many big festivals including The Big Day Out , Good Vibrations and Summa Field Dayze. The first lot of acts have recently been announced for the 2010 Big Day Out and I must say I am very excited at the chance to see Powderfinger again. A few beers, warm weather and watching Powderfinger live just on sunset - it doesn’t get much better. I have always been a regular at the Big day Out each year and I remember some of the best ones. Seeing a very young Silverchair in the mid 90’s, Metallica, Green Day, Foo Fighters and Soundgarden are all highlights. It makes me ask the question what would be your ultimate lineup. Please send through your responses and I will see if I agree, here from you soon.
